Students from Bovec Summer School visited the site of Elettra Sincrotrone in Basovizza (Trieste). The group was received by prof. Rodolfo Taccani from University of Trieste, who prepared a tour of the premises. Together with prof. Taccani, Barbara Milani and Giulia Groppazzi, (all University of Trieste) Aleksander Gerbec of Ecubes and Jurij Giacomelli of META Circularity, NAHV C&D manager received the student group led by their academic leader Cristina Beretta accompanied by Katharina Grafenauer.
Among other topics, he presented the Nord Adriatic Hydrogen Valley (NAHV) and the opportunities arising from the evolving ecosystem based on renewable hydrogen being developed in cooperation among 37 partners from Croatia, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Slovenia. The evolving NAHV ecosystem is based on the principles of the Quadruple Helix innovation model and foresees a strong involvement of universities from all three target territories. It foresees a growing demand for new knowledge creation – competencies and skills related to the application of hydrogen-based technologies and renewable energy sources at large. – An opportunity for the current generation of Bovec Simmer School..!
